Message from our Chair, Lyndal Plant
The National Street Tree Symposium earlier this month showcased how successfully creating Spaces for Trees and Places for People depends on collaborating across many different disciplines and engaging with community and decision makers. A record number of delegates including first-timers, professions, suppliers, trades, researchers, students and community representatives came together to focus on improving Australia’s urban forests. Many delegates stayed on to enjoy Saturday morning at the Waite Arboretum and afternoon amongst the eucalypts at Currency Creek Arboretum.
Thanks to all our Treenet sponsors, members, presenters, volunteers, attendees and supporters for making it a great 24th Symposium! This year’s speakers and hosts inspired, informed and energized the attendees. Papers and videos of the presentations will be available online soon. Plan now to join us in Adelaide for the 25th Treenet National Street Tree Symposium on the 12th and 13th September 2024. Enjoy this edition of Treenet News and please forward it to your friends and colleagues.
